Who we are

Elmedia Studio is a boutique digital studio based in London, operating under the Elmedia Studio brand at elmediastudio.com. We help luxury brands define, build and protect their digital presence.

For the purposes of UK data protection law, Elmedia Studio is the data controller for personal data collected through this website. If you have any questions about how we handle your data, please contact us at hello@elmediastudio.com.

The short version

We collect very little data. When you fill out our contact form, we receive the information you send us and use it to respond to your enquiry. We don't sell your data, we don't share it with advertisers, and we don't add you to mailing lists without your permission.

We use Google Analytics to understand how people use our website. This is anonymous and aggregated — we can't identify individual visitors from it.

That's genuinely it. The sections below give you the full legal picture.

What data we collect and why

Contact form enquiries
When you fill out our contact form, we receive your name, brand or company name, the service you're interested in, your email address, and any message you include. We use this solely to respond to your enquiry and, if you become a client, to manage that relationship.

Website analytics
We use Google Analytics to collect anonymised data about how visitors use our site — which pages are visited, how long people spend on them, and general geographic location (country level only). This data cannot be used to identify you personally. We only collect this after you give your consent via our cookie banner.

Technical data
Like most websites, our server automatically logs basic technical information when you visit — your IP address, browser type, and pages requested. This data is used for security and site maintenance purposes only and is not linked to any personal profile.

Our lawful basis for processing

Under UK GDPR, we must have a valid legal reason to process your personal data. Here's ours:

  • Contact form data — processed on the basis of legitimate interest (to respond to your enquiry) and, where you become a client, to fulfil a contract.
  • Analytics cookies — processed only with your consent, which you provide via our cookie banner. You can withdraw this at any time.
  • Technical/server logs — processed on the basis of legitimate interest for website security and performance.

How we store and protect your data

Contact form enquiries are received directly to our email inbox and stored securely there. We do not use a third-party CRM or marketing platform to store your data.

Our website is hosted by SiteGround, which is based in the EU and operates under GDPR-compliant data processing agreements. You can read SiteGround's data processing information at siteground.com/gdpr.

We retain enquiry data for as long as it is relevant to an active or potential client relationship, and for no longer than 3 years after our last communication, unless we are legally required to keep it longer.

Who we share your data with

We do not sell, rent or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes. The only third parties who may process your data are:

  • SiteGround — our hosting provider, who processes data as part of running our website infrastructure.
  • Google Analytics — if you consent to analytics cookies, anonymised usage data is processed by Google. See Google's Privacy Policy.
  • Contact Form 7 — a WordPress plugin used to process contact form submissions. Data is processed on our server and sent directly to our email.

We may disclose your personal data if required to do so by law or a regulatory authority.

International transfers

Google Analytics may transfer data to servers outside the UK. Google operates under Standard Contractual Clauses approved under UK GDPR to ensure your data is protected to an equivalent standard.

We do not otherwise transfer your personal data outside the UK.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR, you have the following rights in relation to your personal data:

  • The right to access — you can ask us for a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
  • The right to rectification — you can ask us to correct any inaccurate data we hold about you.
  • The right to erasure — you can ask us to delete your personal data, subject to certain legal exceptions.
  • The right to restrict processing — you can ask us to limit how we use your data in certain circumstances.
  • The right to object — you can object to us processing your data on the basis of legitimate interest.
  • The right to withdraw consent — where we rely on consent (e.g. analytics cookies), you can withdraw it at any time.
  • The right to data portability — you can ask us to provide your data in a portable format where technically feasible.

To exercise any of these rights, please email us at hello@elmediastudio.com. We will respond within one month as required by law.

Data protection complaints

From 19 June 2026, all organisations are legally required to handle data protection complaints under the Data (Use and Access) Act 2025. If you have a concern about how we've handled your personal data, please contact us first at hello@elmediastudio.com and we'll do our best to resolve it promptly.

If you're not satisfied with our response, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) — the UK's independent data protection regulator. You can contact them at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint or by calling 0303 123 1113.
